Murder Drones is a computer-animated post-apocalyptic science-fiction action-horror webseries created by Liam Vickers. It is currently one of GLITCH’s most popular shows.

The series currently has 6 episodes. With the soundtrack being composed by AJ DiSpirito, It has been picked up for a full season of 8 episodes.

Synopsis

After human life causes it’s own extinction by blowing up the planet’s core, which causes a winter apocalypse, robots known as Worker Drones start to live life on Copper 9 peacefully, until a set of three Murder Drones start to murder them for... reasons.

Very Spoopy Trivia!

This is the first GLITCH series to not be headlined by an Australian voice actor or actress.
This was one of the two GLITCH series that had not been picked up, until February 18th, 2022, where the first season’s teaser had dropped.
In only the first day of the pilot episode releasing, it had already gained 1 Million views and was #11 on Trending.
On November 4th, 2021, it was announced by GLITCH on Twitter that on November 5th, there would be an official Murder Drones AMA held on the reddit, r/GlitchProductions. Multiple questions were answered, such as...
- The name of the exoplanet the series takes place on, which is called Copper 9, confirming that the series doesn’t take place on Earth.
- Drone reproduction; Worker Drones build their own babies and program a fusion of the parents' personalities, inserting it into a baby drone. Once the personality has been stably integrated, they are transferred to an adult body.
- JCJenson purposefully gave the Murder Drones faulty cooling systems to both motivate them to eat Workers and ensure that they would naturally die off once their mission was finished.
- The burned photo in Khan's office is indeed Uzi's mother, and information about her will later be revealed.
On November 7th, 2021, the soundtrack for the pilot episode was released to the public, as before that, the only song that had been officially released was Disassembly Required, the theme of the Teaser for the series.
On December 29th, 2021, Glitch Productions showed off some more of the concept art of Murder Drones, one of the characters in the concept art being Doll, whose name was not revealed until that day.
Glitch Productions on Twitter mentioned "Uzi with an Uzi", this may just be a joke or could actually appear in the show.
Thad's hat has a graphic featuring a football with an electrical plug on it, which Liam Vickers considers "the dumbest thing ever".
- According to Glitch Productions themselves, "Thad is a precious bean and we must protect him at all cost."
N is officially the first and possibly the only Murder Drones character to make a physical appearance on the SMG4 channel, being in SMG4: If Mario Was In.... SQUID GAME.
- N later reappears in Mario Reacts to Spooky Memes but Dies half way through, after Mario had reacted to a clip from the Pilot Episode.
- The model then reappears for a few moments in MURDER DRONES - Season 1 Teaser.
  - He's the first original character imported to the SMG4 series to be a deuteragonist rather than the main protagonist or a main antagonist in their show (his counterpart from the source material was only an antagonist before switching sides in the pilot and yet he wasn't the main antagonist). Notably, the main protagonist of said show, Uzi, doesn't appear as a character in SMG4 (outside of non-physical cameos in Mario Reacts to Spooky Memes but Dies half way through and more recently SMG4: Mario Gets Into NFTs.)

Murder Drones was advertised at the beginning of SMG4: If Mario Was In... SQUID GAME, where Mario opens a door to see Bob being brutally killed by a Disassembly Drone. Mario then closes the door and walks the other way before being greeted by the same Drone, who says his name is N and that he's looking for things to kill. Mario walks away, and the sequence ends with N chasing Mario down.

Mario Reacts to Spooky Memes but Dies half way through

Murder Drones was advertised again in Mario Reacts to Spooky Memes but Dies half way through, though the advertising is much more extreme here. It starts with Mario reacting to a scene from the pilot, specifically the scene where N battles Uzi. Mario is terrified of N until Uzi (in the clip) comments on how pirating all that anime wasn't useless, causing Mario to say that anime belongs in the trash. Uzi then get's stabbed in the palm by N's acidic syringe, before Mario complains how Uzi shouldn't be in pain when he was stabbed in the hand a few weeks ago. The clip then ends, with Mario hoping he doesn't run into one of the "spooky robot guys”, unaware of N looming in the background of the room.

Mario then watches more memes as the drone gets closer, before he eventually tries to murder him. Mario is then cornered before SMG4 bonks N with a bat. N then says that SMG4 would hurt his feelings if he hit him with the bat again, and that it makes him feel like they don't even want him there. Mario fires back that they don't want him there. N introduces himself, asking Mario if there's anything he can kill in the castle. Mario says no, saying he has spooky memes instead. N and Mario were going to watch them, before Mario tripped and died. SMG4 then promotes Murder Drones outright, and soon afterwards resurrects Mario.

SMG4: Mario Gets Into NFTs

The video itself starts off with the season 1 teaser to Murder Drones, before cutting to Luke and Kevin Lerdwichagul talking about how the season may be getting a late 2022 release. They also advertise the V Plushie alongside the N Plushie by having him in the video, saying there’s a sale going on in their store. The entire advertisement only takes up a little over a minute of the video, as the episode starts afterwards. This is also the first 2022 advertisement of Murder Drones on the SMG4 channel.
